Hi, I'm James!
I'm a wandering soul exploring art, music, technology and storytelling to further my awareness, understanding and appreciation of our world.
I have been fascinated with Virtual and Augmented Reality for most of my life, starting with the work of Disney Imagineers and Universal Studios' Back to the Future: The Ride.
I want to reimagine, escape and create new worlds so my audience can walk around inside my imagination and interact with it in ways not possible with traditional creative media.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy my work!
After starting as a Prepress / IT intern from 2005-2006, I then left for Graduate school at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program while returning part-time for summer and vacation work.
I was officially re-hired in May of 2010, where I helped create and operate the Digital Press room as well as assisting the Prepress department. I was then promoted to Prepress, then Prepress Lead/Manager, then Interactive Web-to-Print/Special Projects, and am currently the Lead for the company's Web-to-Print, Motion Graphics and Extended Reality initiatives.
My role is interdisciplinary and exploratory, focusing on support, research and development for the company's fledgling eLearning, AR, animation and variable-data printing projects using a variety of software and multiple skillsets. I also provide support for Prepress and XMPie (Cross-Media Personalization In E-commerce) SOP and Administration requests as needed.
